Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Ltd. is seeking a Building Services Manager to supervise security and soft services across multiple data center facilities in Malaysia.

You will lead teams in security, cleaning, waste management, landscaping, pest control, and front‑of‑house operations to keep the campuses safe and reliable. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and proven facilities management experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a data centre.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols and managing security personnel.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Proficiency in facilities management software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security policies across all buildings.
• Manage security staff and ensure training and compliance with security standards.
• Oversee access control systems, CCTV, and alarm systems in all buildings.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
• Oversee cleaning staff and schedules across facilities.
• Coordinate waste management and recycling programs.
• Maintain outdoor areas and landscaping across sites.
• Coordinate pest control inspections and treatments.
• Lead a team of handymen for repairs and maintenance.
• Oversee lifts, gates, and other front-of-house facilities.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and ensure service delivery.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and regular audits.
