Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Ltd. in Malaysia seeks a Critical Services Manager to lead the mechanical, electrical, and BMS engineering teams and ensure continuous operation of data center infrastructure.

You will oversee the 24/7 shift team, develop SOPs for maintenance, monitor system performance, drive improvements, and ensure compliance with SLAs while managing budgets. This pivotal role supports DayOne's global expansion and reliability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, generators, UPS and BMS.
• Experience developing SOPs and emergency procedures.
• Ability to define and track KPIs and SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop mechanical, electrical and BMS engineering teams.
• Oversee the 24/7 shift team to ensure continuous operations.
• Ensure efficient and reliable operation of critical systems and implement improvements.
• Develop and implement SOPs for maintenance and emergency response.
• Monitor system performance and ensure SLA compliance.
• Manage and oversee infrastructure projects with internal and external teams.
• Conduct safety audits and maintain regulatory/compliance records.
• Develop and manage the department budget and cost-saving initiatives.
