Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Malaysia I Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Building Services Manager to oversee security, cleaning, waste, landscaping, pest control, handyman repairs, and front-of-house facilities across multiple data centre buildings.

You will manage security staff, develop policies, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe, efficient data centre environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a data centre or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols and experience managing security personnel.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Proficiency in facilities management software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Security Management: Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures across all buildings. Manage security staff and ensure all personnel are trained and compliant with security standards.
• Cleaning Services: Manage the cleaning staff and ensure all areas of the facility are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Waste Management: Implement effective waste management and recycling programs for the entire data centre cluster.
• Landscaping: Oversee the maintenance of outdoor areas and grounds across all buildings.
• Pest Control: Implement and manage pest control measures to prevent infestations.
• Handyman Repairs: Manage a team of handymen for repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Front-of-House Facilities: Oversee lifts, gates, roller shutters, and other front-of-house facilities.
• Vendor Management: Liaise with external contractors and negotiate contracts.
• Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and conduct regular audits.
