Job summary

LIANSIN TRADING SDN. BHD. in Sarawak, Malaysia, seeks a data analyst to collect, analyze, and report business data to support operations and decision making.

You will coordinate with internal departments to ensure data accuracy and build dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools. The role requires 3–5 years in data analysis or procurement/inventory management, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, procurement, or inventory management is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, charts) and familiarity with inventory software.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to analyze reports using Power BI or Tableau.

Collect, compile, analyze, and interpret company data to support business operations and decision making.

Liaise and coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.

Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement through data analysis.

Perform statistical analysis to support decision making.

Create dashboards and data visualizations using Excel, Power BI, or related tools.

Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.

Monitor data accuracy and ensure proper maintenance of company databases and reporting systems.

Present findings with data-driven insights and recommendations to management in a clear and concise manner.

Procurement & System Inventory Support

Source, evaluate and communicate with suppliers for rice and non-rice business operations.

Process purchase orders and monitor delivery timelines.

Maintain and update supplier database and procurement records.

Support procurement planning through analysis of purchasing trends and stock requirements.

Compile, evaluate, analyze, and monitor stock levels for inventory planning and reporting.

Update and maintain inventory system accuracy.

Conduct regular stock reconciliation and report discrepancies.

Analyze inventory movement, stock turnover, and stock availability to support operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field

Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in data analysis, procurement, or inventory management is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, charts) and familiarity with inventory software.

Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Ability to analyze report by using power BI or Tableau.

Strong attention to details and ability to work independently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
