Job summary

Hittech Wemac Sdn Bhd is seeking a Customer Service/Procurement professional in Penang to manage sourcing, purchasing, and order coordination across internal departments. You will ensure on-time delivery, maintain records, and support vendor performance with a focus on cost effectiveness.

The role involves preparing PR/POs, coordinating shipments, and maintaining purchasing and inventory systems, with opportunities to train junior staff.

Job description

Liaise with customers regarding delivery commitments, urgent requests, and complaint resolution.

Manage sourcing and purchasing activities, including raw materials, subcontractor parts, and treatment services, while ensuring cost effectiveness and timely delivery.

Prepare and maintain Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), Sales Order Confirmations, and purchasing records according to company procedures.

Coordinate with customers, suppliers, vendors, Planning, Engineering, Accounts, and other internal departments to ensure smooth order processing and material flow.

Monitor customer POs, planning requests, material availability, subcontractor progress, packing, and shipment status.

Prepare shipping documentation, arrange shipments, communicate shipment details, and update the PO tracking system.

Maintain and update purchasing, inventory, and accounting systems, including material invoices, delivery orders, and mill certificates.

Support the selection and documentation of new vendors and monitor supplier performance.

Prepare On-Time Delivery (OTD) analysis for vendors and customers in accordance with company KPI and quality objectives.

Coach, train, and support Junior CSR staff to improve their performance.

Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the superior.

Scheduling of delivery by Planning department working closely with our customer and Production team to meet expected OTD (on time delivery). Deliveries from Penang Batu Kawan to Bayan Lepas takes less than 20 minutes.

Quality Management with an in-house dedicated QA-QC team to perform incoming and outgoing inspection. In process quality control is build-in all our processes. We are also an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization.
