Job summary

Hittech Wemac Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking an Assembly Technician to perform complex assembly, calibration, testing, and repairs to meet exacting specifications. The role includes pre-assembly cleaning, equipment maintenance, and meticulous documentation of results.

You will work with tight tolerances, ensure product quality, and support continuous improvement initiatives within a clean, safe work area. The position offers daily responsibilities such as troubleshooting, defect rectification, and

Qualifications

• Experience in assembling products according to specifications.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex assemblies.
• Capable of high-precision calibration and adjustments.
• Maintain and record test results and logs.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and advanced assembly of products according to specifications and instructions.
• Troubleshoot and analyze repairs.
• Calibrate using specialized equipment and perform product testing; record results.
• Clean parts according to procedures to meet customer requirements.
• Pre-assembly activities: cleaning and lubrication.
• Monitor equipment and report issues; execute preventive maintenance.
• Maintain log books per SOPs and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Install, repair, inspect, replace, refit and readjust products as required.
• Plan materials to avoid shortages; perform final defect checks.
• Prepare and monitor regular management reports; undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Job description

Perform complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications and instruction.

Troubleshoot and analyst repairs

Perform high precision calibration and advanced adjustments using specific equipment, conduct product and performance testing and record the results.

Perform cleaning of parts as per established cleaning procedures to meet customer’s requirements.

Perform pre-assembly activities such as cleaning and lubricating.

Monitor the functioning of all equipment and report any issues to your superior.

Execute preventive maintenance on assembly and test equipment to avoid breakdowns.

Ensure all log books are maintained according to standard operating procedures.

Responsible to install, repair, inspect, replace, refit, and readjust products as required.

Plan and organize materials and supplies to avoid materials shortages.

Perform final checks and adjustments for any defects to ensure high quality products.

Prepare and monitor all regular reports as required by the management.

Execute other tasks assigned by the superior

Review, check and improve work instructions/drafts

Provide improvement proposals related to/and beyond your Job Description.

Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area.

Any other tasks as instructed by your superior.

Scheduling of delivery by Planning department working closely with our customer and Production team to meet expected OTD (on time delivery). Deliveries from Penang Batu Kawan to Bayan Lepas takes less than 20 minutes.

Quality Management with an in-house dedicated QA-QC team to perform incoming and outgoing inspection. In process quality control is build-in all our processes. We are also an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization.
