Job summary

Sunway Medical Centre Bandar Sunway is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage self-pay accounts, monitor ageing and minimize bad debts. You will generate regular SOAs, liaise with clients and insurers, and provide timely reconciliation and reports to management with analysis and recommendations.

The role requires a diploma/degree in accounting or finance, at least two years’ experience, weekend half-day work during probation, and a proactive, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy/Finance/Business Administration or related.
• LCCI qualification or related certification.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Handle and administer accounts receivable for self-pay accounts to prevent bad debts and keep collections up-to-date.
• Monitor ageing, issue reminder letters, liaise with clients to ensure payment within credit terms.
• Generate the Statement of Account (SOA) and email to clients early each month and assist in account reconciliation.
• Produce up-to-date reports on collection efforts and present to management with analysis and recommendations.
• Determine and evaluate potential uncollectible, slow payer, or difficult cases with updates to relevant parties.
• Respond to client enquiries, liaise with insurers/TPA/MCOs on queries, and prepare breakdown charges and procedure codes.
• Attend to enquiries, provide good customer service, and maintain professional collection processes.
• Understand clients' situations and provide financial advice accordingly when required.
• Assist in ad-hoc tasks/projects.

Determine and evaluate potential uncollectible, slow payer or difficult cases by providing updates to relevant parties.

Feedback to enquiries raised by clients, investigate and revert to insurance/TPA/MCO companies on their queries, prepare breakdown charges and procedure codes related to hospital and consultants.

Attend to enquiries, provide good customer service and ensure effective collection process in a professional manner.

Understand clients' situation & provide financial advise accordingly whenever required.

Assist in ad-hoc task/project assigned.

Job Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Accountancy/Finance/Business Administration, LCCI qualification or related discipline.

Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply!
