Job summary

Sunway Medical Centre Bandar Sunway is seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to manage self-pay receivables, monitor ageing, issue reminders, and ensure timely collections. You will generate SOAs and assist in reconciliation, while preparing regular reports for management.

Candidates should possess a Diploma or Degree in Accountancy/Finance/Business Administration, or LCCI, with at least 2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Handle and administer accounts receivable for self-pay accounts.
• Monitor ageing, issue reminder letters and liaise with clients to ensure payment within credit term.
• Generate the Statement of Account (SOA) and email to clients monthly and assist in reconciliation.
• Produce up-to-date reports on collections and present to management with analysis and suggestions.
• Determine and evaluate potential uncollectible or slow payer cases and provide updates to relevant parties.
• Respond to client enquiries and coordinate with insurance/TPA/MCO on queries; prepare breakdown charges and codes.
• Attend to enquiries, provide good customer service and ensure effective collection process.
• Understand clients' situations and provide financial advice accordingly when required.
• Assist in ad-hoc tasks/projects.

• Handle and administer accounts receivable for Self-pay accounts to avoid possible of bad debts and ensure collection is up-to-date.
• Monitor ageing, issue reminder letters and liaise with clients to ensure payment is received within credit term.
• Generate the Statement of Account (SOA) and email to clients early of every month and assist in account reconciliation.
• Produce up-to-date report on collection effort rendered and present to management with analysis and suggestion on next course of action.
• Determine and evaluate potential uncollectible, slow payer or difficult cases by providing updates to relevant parties.
• Feedback to enquiries raised by clients, investigate and revert to insurance/TPA/MCO companies on their queries, prepare breakdown charges and procedure codes related to hospital and consultants.
• Attend to enquiries, provide good customer service and ensure effective collection process in a professional manner.
• Understand clients' situation & provide financial advise accordingly whenever required.
• Assist in ad-hoc task/project assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy/Finance/Business Administration, LCCI qualification or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply!

• A team player and able to work independently.
• Candidate must be able to work Saturdays (half day) during probation.
