Job summary

Sunway Medical Centre Malaysia seeks an experienced Finance Leader to head the accounts receivable team for self-pay accounts. You will provide guidance, ensure timely follow-up on collections, and deliver accurate invoices and supporting documents to patients on time.

The role requires a Degree or Diploma in Finance/Accountancy, at least 8 years in a managerial credit-control position, and experience leading 10 staff.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 8 years of working experience at a managerial level in credit control of a medium to large-sized organization.
• Experience leading a team of at least 10 staff is required.
• Working knowledge of computerized billing/registration systems is expected.
• Knowledge of hospital information systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team responsible for administering accounts receivable for self-pay accounts.
• Provide guidance and ensure timely follow-up on collections to minimize bad debts.
• Address inquiries effectively and support the team with clear direction to achieve KPIs.
• Ensure all invoices and supporting documentation are accurately prepared and delivered to customers or patients on time.
• Oversee and ensure proper reconciliation of bank statements and payment platforms.
