Job summary

Linergy Power Sdn Bhd is seeking a Costing Manager to oversee financial planning, cost accounting, budgeting, reporting, and internal controls at its KL-based site in Bukit Damansara. The role focuses on analyzing manufacturing costs, improving cost efficiency, and supporting strategic decisions with robust financial analysis.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in finance, strong cost accounting and ERP experience, and excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent is preferred.
• 8+ years of finance and accounting experience.
• At least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong experience in manufacturing finance and cost accounting.
• Experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, standard costing, inventory valuation, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, internal controls, and manufacturing accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience using ERP systems and reporting tools being an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide business insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English to support effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, management reports, and KPI dashboards.
• Develop financial models, forecasts, budgets, and business cases to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
• Prepare profitability analysis by product, customer, and business unit to support business performance evaluation.
• Support pricing decisions through detailed cost and margin analysis.
• Manage product costing, standard costing, and variance analysis to ensure accurate product cost information.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and production efficiency, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
• Analyze material, labor, and manufacturing overhead costs, and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
• Review and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and standard cost structures to ensure costing accuracy.
• Conduct cost analysis for new product introductions and capital investment projects.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), tax regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Establish, monitor, and continuously improve internal controls, financial policies, and governance processes.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
• Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets.
• Lead, coach, and develop the finance and cost accounting team to achieve departmental objectives.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Production, Procurement, Sales, and other departments to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, reporting efficiency, and cost management.
