Job summary

PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Costing Executive to lead product costing, cost analysis, budgeting, and cost control to support informed business decisions.

You will calculate costs across materials, labour, overheads and ensure accurate costing data. You will collaborate with Production, Purchasing and Finance teams, maintain costing records, and provide insightful reports to drive cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of costing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the medical device industry is an advantage.
• Proficient in Excel; familiar with ERP or costing systems.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Chinese and Bahasa Melayu for cross-department communication.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and analyse product costs across materials, labour, overheads.
• Prepare cost estimates and costing reports to support pricing decisions.
• Monitor costs, identify variances, and suggest savings opportunities.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.
• Analyse actual costs vs budgets and report discrepancies.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and analyse product costs, including raw materials, labour, production overheads, and other manufacturing expenses.
• Prepare product cost estimates and costing reports to support pricing and business decisions.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, identify cost variances, and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.
• Analyse actual costs against budgets and standards, investigate discrepancies, and provide recommendations.
• Work closely with Production, Purchasing, and Finance teams to gather cost data and ensure costing accuracy.
• Maintain and update costing records, databases, and financial reports.
• Utilise Microsoft Excel and ERP or costing systems to perform cost calculations, data analysis, and reporting.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of costing information.
• Perform other costing and finance-related duties as assigned by management.

About you
