Job summary

Malayan Flour Mills Berhad (MFM) is seeking an accounting and finance professional to manage daily operations across accounts receivable, payable, general ledger, cash and bank reconciliation. You will ensure timely updating of records and monthly close while supporting management with accurate financial reporting.

The role emphasizes cost analysis, target costing, overhead review, stock counts, asset management and collaboration with operations to drive cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operational accounting & finance functions in accounts receivable, payable, general ledger, cash, and bank management.
• Perform and ensure timely updating of accounting records and closing of monthly financial statements and reporting.
• Cost analysis, target costing and tracking of cost of underlying activities.
• Review production overhead, analyse variances and highlights areas of concern.
• Attend to periodic stock count exercise.
• Assist operation to understand cost structure and work with operation to drive cost down.
• Assist in annual production overhead budget.
• Monitor fixed asset addition to ensure the company manage fixed asset effectively and cost-effective.
• Perform any other tasks and assignments as directed by the management from time to time.

Job description
