Job summary

Teleflex Malaysia is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the finance team, manage month-end/year-end close, and drive budgeting and forecasting. You will deliver management reports and variance analyses, while coordinating with auditors and ensuring inventory controls are robust.

The role requires strong accounting credentials, MIA membership, and 7–8 years of relevant experience, with ERP and Excel proficiency. Based in Kamunting, it offers an on-site, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/MICPA or degree).
• Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
• 7–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in inventory management is a plus.

Position Summary

• Manage performance of the team to ensure that employees achieve their full potential
• Develop and engage the team to ensure the employees are fully energised and focussed to achieve their own and company goals.
• Manage month and end year financial process,
• Responsible for the monthly and weekly management report and co-ordinate with respective PIC
• Responsible for the management and coordination of budgeting and inventory system.
• Preparing AOP, forecast and monthly soft closed.
• Responsible for monthly reports and performance analysis i. e. plant variance analysis (purchase price variance, usage variance, operating cost variance, etc)
• Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles
• Involve in the interim & year-end physical stock together with analysis & reconciliations of variances.
• Liaise with external auditor during interim and year-end audit.
• Perform any other relevant and related responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time as required by superior.

Education / Experience Requirements

• Professional qualification from ACCA, CIMA, MICPA or Degree in Accounting.
• Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
• Minimum 7 to 8 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in accounting analysis and inventory management is an added advantage

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• Able to provide meaningful analysed data to the Management.
• Knowledge of Financial and Manufacturing Modules in any reputable ERP System is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate fluently (written and verbal) in English and Malay Language.
• Able to lead the Finance team in consolidating data and reviewing annual budgeting process with other section/department heads, take charge of stock take activities and provide prompt financial information to the management.
• Meticulous with strong analytical skill, initiative and hard working. Willing to work longer hours during month-end and year-end closing.
• Strong PC skills particularly in Microsoft Excel and Words.
