Job summary

Welford Manufacturing (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned finance leader to oversee daily accounting operations, manage cash flow, and drive financial performance. The role requires strong analytical and leadership skills, with responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, professional qualifications (ACCA/CIMA/CA/CPA) and 5–8 years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CA/CPA) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily finance and accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Develop annual budgets, forecasts and business plans.
• Monitor performance, analyze variances and recommend cost-control actions.
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax agents.
• Lead and develop the finance and accounting team.

Job description

Oversee daily finance and accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash flow management

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports

Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and business plans

Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and recommend improvements to control costs and enhance profitability

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies

Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, banks, and relevant authorities

Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities to ensure sufficient liquidity

Establish and maintain effective internal controls, financial policies, and risk management procedures

Lead, supervise, and develop the finance and accounting team

Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to senior management to support business decisions

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Professional qualification from a recognised body (ACCA/ CIMA/ CA/ CPA) will be an added advantage.

Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, including managerial or supervisory experience

Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and internal controls

Experience with SQL accounting system.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet reporting deadlines, and work independently

Candidate must possess own transport and willing to work in Eco World Grandeur, Puncak Alam, Selangor.
