Job summary

ASK Headhunter is seeking a Controller Account Executive in Malaysia to manage month-end closing, reconciliations and the preparation of management financial reports. You will monitor branch performance, control costs and handle ad-hoc finance tasks as needed.

The role requires an accounting or finance degree, strong computer skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Relevant experience in closes and reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month end closing and full set of accounts.
• Monitor monthly bill utilities and reconcile with ledger.
• Prepare and finalize month end closing financial reports – TB, P&L, BS & OPEX analysis.
• Liaise with auditors, company secretary and bankers on finance matters.
• Assist on recruitment of staff and maintain proper filing of finance documents.
• Monitor cost cutting vs budget and report to stakeholders monthly.
• Meet with stakeholders monthly to review report card status.

• Prepare monthly Payroll Reconciliation based on HR schedule. Ensure all allowances and deductions had been taken up in the ledger.
• Reclassify own consumption cost into expenses ledger account.
• Prepare month end closing and full set of accounts.
• Monitor the monthly bill utilities (water, electricity, telephone) to be taken up for closing.
• Ensure the subsidiaries ledgers are reconciled to general ledger accounts.
• Monitor and prepare Balance Sheet items schedule – FA, Prepayment, accrual, clearing account, deposits and other related items for closing.
• Prepare and finalize month end closing financial reports – TB, P&L, BS & OPEX analysis.
• Finance BIC briefing on branch performance, highlight & clarify on branches issues.
• Prepare and monitor MFRS16 reports on monthly basis – expiring of TA, following up the renewal TA.
• Liaise with external party related finance matter (e.g.: auditors, company secretary and bankers).
• Liaise with internal party related finance matter (e.g.: section department/branch).
• Assist on recruitment of staff.
• Keep all finance documents in proper filing.
• Ad hoc assignments as and when required.
• Monitor the Cost Cutting ledger versus budget, prepare report card & sent to the stakeholder on monthly basis.
• Meeting with stakeholder on monthly basis to discuss the issue on the report card status (Cost Cutting).
