Jora Malaysia seeks an experienced finance professional in Johor to manage daily accounting tasks and support month-end closing. You will process vouchers, perform bank reconciliations, and handle AR/AP while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
The role requires at least 3 years in accounting, fluency in Mandarin, and the ability to work independently in a computerized environment. Based in Malaysia, you will liaise with auditors and tax agents as part of the duties.

Monitor the company's cash flow and manage petty cash transactions.
Prepare, review, and process Payment Vouchers (PV), Journal Vouchers (JV), and other accounting entries.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Monitor and manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring timely collections and payments.
Perform intercompany reconciliations and maintain accurate intercompany schedules.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
Prepare audit schedules and ensure all supporting documents are complete, accurate, and readily available.
Assist in the annual external audit and prepare tax analyses and supporting schedules.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and relevant regulatory authorities.
Prepare and submit statutory tax filings, including Withholding Tax (WHT), Sales and Service Tax (SST), and Goods and Services Tax (GST), where applicable.
Respond to audit and tax queries, including providing explanations and supporting documentation through the Online Submission Module (OSM) or other required platforms.
Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
Supervise, guide, and provide leadership to junior finance team members, ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines.
Maintain proper filing and document management systems for accounting and statutory records.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of finance operations.
Perform any other accounting, finance, and administrative duties as assigned by Management.
Review and verify Payment Vouchers (PV), Purchase Invoices (PI), and Sales Invoices (SI), including retention billings, and recommend them for approval in accordance with the company's Delegation of Authority (DOA) and established procedures
LCCI - Diploma in Accounting
LCCI - Diploma in Cost Accounting
Minimum 3 years experience within the same field and familiar in acomputerized environment.
Able to work independently without close supervision.
Good communication & correspondence skills.
Fluent in Mandarin (speaking, reading and writing)
