Job summary

Sun Lim Garden Foodstuffs Pte Ltd in Johor, Malaysia invites an accounting professional to join our finance team as a junior accounting officer. You will record daily transactions, maintain ledgers, and prepare monthly financials in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires a diploma in accounting and at least 2 years of experience, with strong Excel skills and attention to deadlines. You will support tax computations and ad-hoc finance projects under supervision.

Qualifications

• Diploma in accounting or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication skills, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Record daily transactions including expenses, payments, and receipts.
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monthly verification of supplier invoices, prepare payment vouchers, and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Reconcile supplier statements and AP balances monthly.
• Monthly verification of customer invoices, monitor aging, and follow up on overdue payments.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly journal entries including depreciation, accruals, and provisions.
• Maintain fixed asset register with acquisition and disposal records.
• Prepare and analyze Monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet; prepare budgeting cash flow reports for director.
• Assist in corporate income tax computations and liaise with external tax agents.
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks and finance-related projects as required by management.

• Monthly checking, verify supplier invoice and prepare payment vouchers and ensure timely payments to suppliers

Requirements :

1. At Least Diploma in Accounting or Equivalent Qualification.
2. Min 2 years and above of working experience in accounting related position, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
3. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
4. Good oral & written communication skills.
5. Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
6. Self-motivation, Pro-active, result oriented, self-driven and fast learner.
7. Excellent problem solving.
8. Able to multi-task, and handle tasks assigned independently.
