Job summary

Southkey City in Malaysia invites applications from a qualified Quantity Surveyor to support cost estimation, tender preparation, and contract administration across property development projects in Johor Bahru.

The successful candidate will manage cost reporting, budgets, feasibility studies, and post-contract variations while working under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver accurate final accounts.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in property development or similar capacity.
• Proficient in MS Office with strong numerical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing preliminary estimates and cost plans.
• Evaluate tenders and prepare Tender Evaluation Reports.
• Assess variations, claims, and extensions of time.
• Prepare final accounts and certificates.
• Prepare feasibility studies and cost evaluations for projects.
• Maintain cost reporting and budget control throughout design and construction.

Assist in preparing all preliminary estimates.

Assist in Tender evaluation and preparation of Tender Evaluation Reports.

Assessment of all Variation Works/Contractual Claims/Extension of Time etc.

Preparation of Statement of Final Account and Final Certificates.

Well-verse in tender exercise

To assist in project claim and V.O., attending meeting and responsible for correspondences.

To prepare cost estimation / quantity take-off / cost evaluation of project; including pre-qualification, bidding, negotiation and closing contract.

To perform monthly cost reporting and tracking of on-going contract.

To manage budget or estimate the cost of a project in the stage of design and construction (cost control).

Responsible for pre and post contract process and tender administration.

To prepare feasibility reports, when required.

To handle contract administration.

Requirements:

A recognized Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

At least 3 years relevant working experience in property development industry or in a similar capacity.

Computer literate in MS office.

Proficient in both written and spoken English, Bahasa Malaysia.

Matured with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Able to work independently under pressure to produce the desired result within the desired deadline.

Good knowledge and understanding in overall processes of contract management including feasibilities study, construction cost, tender process, cost control, etc.

Possess strong contractual knowledge and negotiation skills.
