Job summary

IJM Land Berhad, a leading Malaysian property developer, invites a Quantity Surveyor to join its tender and contract team on residential, commercial and industrial projects across the country.

You will analyze tenders, prepare cost comparisons, source and evaluate contractors and suppliers, assist with tender and contract documentation using the E-Bidding System, and help monitor progress and payments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Understanding of the operations in the local property development industry.
• Knowledge of local rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze tenders received and prepare cost comparisons.
• Source, select, and evaluate contractors, suppliers, and specialists.
• Assist with preparing tender documentation for new projects and contract documentation for successful bids using the E-Bidding System.
• Conduct verification of material requisitions and take off quantities/site measurements of work done.
• Prepare progress claims and invoices to clients and consultants.
• Prepare work orders/purchase orders following Management approval.
• Assist the Management with monitoring and managing various contracts and sub-contracts, including preparing progress reports, recommending payments, variation order certificates, and final accounts documentation.
• Adhere to relevant company policies, procedures, and work instructions for quality, safety, and the environment.
