Job summary

You will analyze costs, prepare BOQs, and support project teams to optimize profitability. Responsibilities include budgeting, cost analysis, value engineering, and risk identification, with collaboration across engineers, architects, and subcontractors

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in quantity surveying or related roles within the construction industry.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimation, and project management principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs without sacrificing quality.
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure adherence to financial constraints.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-control measures as needed.
• Takeoff quantities from drawings for material procurement and cost estimation purposes.
• Prepare and submit bills of quantities (BOQ) and tender documents for project bidding processes.
• Assist in the preparation and negotiation of construction contracts, variations and claims.
• Review contract documents and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Identify risks and opportunities for cost savings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop strategies to mitigate risks and maximize project profitability.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, payments, and variations.
• Prepare regular progress reports and financial forecasts for project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to optimize project outcomes.
• Provide timely cost advice and support to project teams to facilitate decision-making.
