Job summary

Saujana Permai Development Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, prepare BOQs, and support procurement and cost control across multiple construction sites.

This role requires strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation abilities to ensure financial efficiency. Candidates should have a degree or diploma in QS, at least five years of relevant experience, and proficiency with QS software such as CostX, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, Excel, and Microsoft Project.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in QS or commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ, measurement, cost estimation, tendering and contract administration.
• Experience with progress claims, variation orders, final accounts and payments.
• Ability to review drawings, specs and contract documents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and QS software (e.g., CostX, AutoCAD, PlanSwift).
• Strong negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets and BOQs for construction projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor costs.
• Manage procurement: tender documents and contractor quotations.
• Monitor costs and ensure financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare valuations, progress reports and cost analyses.
• Negotiate contracts and schedules with contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety regulations and contractual obligations.
• Provide advice on claims and disputes.
• Maintain project documentation and prepare final accounts.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and clients.
