Job summary

Kelington Technologies (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd invites an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our contracts management team on a contract basis in Kuching, Sarawak. The role covers tender submissions, cost analysis, and contract administration, with a focus on competitive pricing and risk management.

Requirements include a degree in Quantity Surveying (or related field) and 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction, plus proficiency in cost estimating software and project management tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 3–5 years professional experience in quantity surveying within construction.
• Proficiency in cost estimating software and project management tools.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills across stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and review of tender submissions, BOQs, cost breakdowns, and pricing analyses.
• Review tender documents, specifications and drawings for contractual/commercial risk.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and review technical-commercial proposals and deviations for submission.
• Conduct cost benchmarking, market rate analysis, and value engineering studies.
• Manage contract administration including progress claims, variations, valuations and final accounts.
• Review subcontractor payment claims, quotations, and work progress.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and project team to resolve issues.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and quantities.
