Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Shah Alam is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager in Contract Logistics to lead tendering for logistics projects, expand the client base, and drive revenue growth.

You will develop strategic plans, identify opportunities through market research, build relationships with potential clients and partners, and manage end-to-end bids with operations, finance, and legal teams to win contracts while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in logistics.
• Proven track record of success in business development within logistics.
• Strong understanding of logistics operations and tendering processes, including contract management and negotiations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to influence stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker able to analyze market data and translate insights into strategies.
• Experience in managing large-scale logistics projects and complex supply chain solutions.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for costing and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of strategic business development plans focused on tendering for logistics projects.
• Identify and evaluate potential opportunities through prospecting, networking and market research.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients, partners, and industry influencers.
• Manage end-to-end tender processes, including bid preparation, submission, negotiation, and contract award.
• Collaborate with operations, finance and legal teams to ensure seamless execution of tendered projects.
• Monitor industry trends, market developments and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals and pitches tailored to client requirements.
• Achieve sales targets and ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
