Jora Malaysia is seeking a dynamic Business Development leader to drive revenue growth across logistics, forwarding, and cross-border transportation. You will identify opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and work with cross-functional teams to expand market presence in Malaysia and overseas.

The role requires strong leadership, client management, and strategic planning skills to deliver sustainable profitability and customer satisfaction in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies, sales plans, and market expansion initiatives to achieve revenue targets.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within logistics, cold chain, transportation, warehousing, distribution, forwarding, and cross-border services.
• Develop and expand international transportation business through collaboration with the Forwarding team to drive growth.
• Build, maintain, strengthen relationships with existing customers, strategic accounts, and business partners for long-term growth and satisfaction.
• Conduct visits to overseas customers as required.
• Proactively monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely collection of payments.
• Lead contract negotiations, tender submissions, proposals, and pricing strategies for profitable opportunities.
• Develop annual sales forecasts, budgets, and departmental plans, and monitor performance against targets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
• Drive growth and performance of segments including LTL, Dedicated Distribution, Cross-Border Transportation, Forwarding Services, Equipment Sales.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Business Development team to achieve objectives and goals.
• Establish sales targets and KPIs, monitor team performance, and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, Warehouse, Transportation, and Finance to service accounts effectively.
• Act as the key commercial contact for major customers and strategic accounts, ensuring service excellence.
• Represent the Company at customer meetings, trade exhibitions, and networking events to strengthen market presence.
• Prepare and present monthly sales, business development, and market performance reports to Management.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
