The Contract Executive is responsible for managing contractual and commercial matters related to construction projects, including subcontract administration, progress claims, variation orders, cost control, final accounts, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and administer construction contracts, subcontracts, and consultancy agreements.
- Manage tendering processes, including calling quotations, evaluating bids, and preparing recommendation reports.
- Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier claims.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow.
- Prepare progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Assist in contract negotiations with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Track project progress and identify potential contractual risks.
- Maintain proper contract documentation and records.
- Liaise with project teams, consultants, and clients on contractual matters.
- Support dispute resolution and contractual correspondence when required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in contract administration within building construction projects.
- Experience working with a main contractor is preferred.
- Familiar with PAM Contract, CIDB requirements, and construction contract management.
- Knowledge of variation orders, progress claims, cost control, and final accounts.
- Good negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction-related software.
Preferred Experience
- Experience handling multiple subcontract packages.
- Familiarity with contract documentation and procurement procedures.
