Job summary

Scientex in Malaysia is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to prepare tender and contract documents, and to perform cost take-offs and budgeting for projects in Penang. The role requires strong MS Office skills and bilingual Malay/English communication.

Fresh graduates are welcome; candidates should hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Quantity Surveying, with Mandarin being a plus. This is a full-time position based in Penang with opportunities to contribute to cost control and variation orders.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor’s/Postgraduate Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency in Malay and English; Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Computer literate with Word and Excel skills.

• Prepare tender and contract documentation.
• Take-off quantities and costing.
• Monitor construction costs and variations against the project budget.
• Perform any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor or company.
