Job summary

JAWAT JOHAN SDN. BHD. is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor for project costing and tender work in Sabah. You will prepare estimates, Bills of Quantities, valuations and cost control, coordinating with clients and contractors.

Requires a diploma or higher in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering and at least five years in the field; fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English, with strong teamwork and resilience under pressure.

Qualifications

• Diploma or professional degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Team player who can work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and Bills of Quantities for project costing.
• Perform quantity take-off, valuation, variation orders and final accounts.
• Review tenders, draft agreements, and prepare tender documents.
• Evaluate tenders, prepare tender submissions, BQ and cost estimates, follow up on projects, handle claims and payments.
• Monitor budget and track direct costs on projects.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, sub-contractors and authorities.

Responsibilities

• To prepare of details estimates and Bills of Quantities of Project Costing.
• To prepare & perform quantity taking off, valuation, variation orders and final account
• To responsible in tender/contracts review, drafting agreements, preparing tender and contracts documents.
• Able to evaluation of tender, preparation of tender submission, BQ & cost estimation, follow up of projects, handle claim and payment for the project.
• Monitor budget and keep track of direct costs on projects.
• Able to liaise with client, consultant, suppliers, sub-contractors and authorities.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Professional Degree, Quantity Survey, Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• Working experience in quantity surveying firm is an added advantage.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Good team player with ability to work independently, resourceful and work well under pressure.
