Job summary

Mega City Builder Sdn Bhd, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, seeks an experienced Construction Manager on a contract basis to oversee planning, resourcing, quality and safety across projects. You will lead on-site teams, manage budgets and coordinate with architects, engineers and subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years in construction management, and a professional qualification in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Construction Manager or similar role on medium to large-scale projects.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules and resources effectively.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and safe work environments.
• Experience coordinating with architects, engineers and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling construction activities to ensure timely delivery within budget.
• Managing on-site teams, subcontractors and labourers to maintain productivity and quality.
• Monitoring progress and producing regular reports for management and clients.
• Enforcing health and safety procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Managing project budgets and controlling costs while minimising waste.
• Coordinating with architects, engineers and stakeholders to meet project specs.
• Conducting site inspections and quality audits to uphold workmanship standards.
• Resolving on-site issues and managing scope changes with relevant parties.
• Maintaining project documentation including contracts, permits and records.
• Ensuring effective communication among all project stakeholders.
