Job summary

Arup is seeking an ICT & Audio-Visual Consultant to help design, integrate and deliver ICT and AV solutions across Malaysia and the wider region. You will lead technical tasks, build specialist expertise and support high‑quality project delivery that drives client satisfaction.

With at least 4 years in ICT/AV and strong Revit/AutoCAD capabilities, you will design systems, capture requirements, and coordinate documentation while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful

Qualifications

  • A recognised tertiary qualification in ICT, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of experience in ICT and Telecommunications systems with demonstrated expertise in AV system design and technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of passive ICT infrastructure including structured cabling, containment, ICT spaces, and related building systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and coordinate ICT and AV systems, including cabling, ICT rooms, Wi‑Fi, UC, audio, visuals, control systems and related tech.
  • Capture client requirements, conduct technical assessments, and develop practical, innovative solutions aligned with project objectives and standards.
  • Produce and coordinate project documentation using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD (schematics, layouts, installation details, rack elevations).
  • Conduct site visits and support construction‑phase activities, including compliance monitoring and cross‑discipline coordination.
  • Own project tasks and deliverables while collaborating with clients and teams to resolve technical challenges.

The Opportunity

As an ICT & Audio-Visual Consultant, you will contribute to the growth and delivery of Arup’s ICT and Audio-Visual consulting services across Malaysia and the wider region. Working with multidisciplinary teams, you will help design, integrate, and deliver innovative technology solutions that meet client requirements and industry best practices. This role offers the opportunity to lead technical tasks, develop specialist expertise, and support the successful delivery of high-quality projects that drive business growth and client satisfaction.

  • Design and coordinate ICT and Audio-Visual systems, including structured cabling, ICT rooms, Wi‑Fi infrastructure, Unified Communications, audio systems, visual display systems, control systems, and associated technologies.
  • Capture client requirements, undertake technical assessments, and develop practical, innovative solutions that align with project objectives, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Produce and coordinate project documentation, including schematics, layouts, installation details, rack elevations, and technical drawings using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Conduct site visits and support construction‑phase activities, including compliance monitoring and coordination with other engineering disciplines.
  • Take ownership of project tasks and deliverables while collaborating with clients and project teams to resolve technical challenges and achieve successful project outcomes.

Is this role right for you?
  • A recognised tertiary qualification in ICT, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of experience in ICT and Telecommunications systems, with demonstrated expertise in Audio‑Visual (AV) system design and technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of passive ICT infrastructure, including structured cabling systems, containment, ICT spaces, and related building systems; experience with active systems such as Wi‑Fi and GSM is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, with experience preparing technical drawings and project documentation for complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative approach, strong organisational abilities, and a passion for delivering innovative, client‑focused solutions.
