Job summary

Arup in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead complex projects from planning through completion. The role emphasizes strong client relationship management, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and delivery excellence across time, cost and quality metrics.

The successful candidate will bring at least 2 years of relevant experience in a consultant environment and hold a recognised project management qualification.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience in consultant environment.
  • Recognised project management qualification such as PM Diploma, Masters, PMQ, PMP, CPPM, MSP or PRINCE2.
  • Ability to lead projects across scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communications, risk, issues and procurement.
  • Ability to independently analyse project information, report on outcomes and develop clear actions.
  • Ability to use digital tools and techniques that support the analysis, reporting and management of complex projects or programmes.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, this role will provide professional project management services to support Arup’s Programme and Project Services work. The successful candidate will bring strong senior project management experience, with the ability to lead complex projects, manage client relationships and contribute to the growth of Arup’s project management capability.

The Opportunity

Is this role right for you?
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, architecture, project management, quantity surveying or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant project management experience in consultant environment
  • Recognised project management qualification or certification such as PM Diploma, Masters, PMQ, PMP, CPPM, MSP or PRINCE2, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Strong practical and theoretical project management and design management knowledge, with the ability to lead projects and programmes across scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communications, risk, issues and procurement.
  • Ability to independently analyse project information, report on outcomes and develop clear actions to address risks, issues or performance gaps.
  • Ability to use digital tools and techniques that support the analysis, reporting and management of complex projects or programmes.
