Job summary

Yankey Engineering (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of complex construction and engineering projects, including data-centre initiatives. Job description

In this role, you will take full ownership of project execution, ensuring successful delivery from planning to completion. Your key responsibilities include:

Developing and executing project work plans, and adjusting them as project requirements evolve

Managing the full lifecycle of projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and handover

Ensuring projects meet or exceed timelines, budget, and quality standards set by management

Preparing and maintaining project schedules, including updates and tracking progress

Overseeing day-to-day project operations and scope management

Applying structured project management methodologies to ensure consistency and efficiency

Leading project reviews, audits, and quality assurance processes

Identifying and mitigating project risks through proactive planning

Managing subcontractors, including performance, coordination, and compliance

Handling project communication, meetings, and stakeholder coordination

Preparing and managing progress claims, invoicing, and financial tracking

Ensuring all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly stored

Managing contractual matters, including notices and issue resolution

Supporting tender and bidding processes when required

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 10 years of proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction, engineering, cleanroom, or data center projects.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).

PMP, PRINCE2, Professional Engineer (PE), CIDB CCPM / CPM or related professional certifications will be an added advantage.

Willingness to be site-based or travel depending on project needs

A confident project leader with experience delivering complex projects in high-impact industries, including Data Centers, Semiconductor, and FMCG,driven by technical excellence, effective coordination, and disciplined execution.

Strong project management capabilities, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, resource allocation, and execution of detailed project plans.

Sound knowledge of construction methodologies, contract administration, procurement processes, and project lifecycle management.

Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams effectively.

Proficient in project management software and tools such as Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, BIM, Excel, or equivalent systems.

Familiarity with Malaysian regulations, authority submission processes, HSE standards, and industry compliance requirements is an added advantage.
