Job summary

ByteBridge Technology SDN BHD is seeking a Project Manager to lead data center fit-out projects, coordinating MEP works, client communications, and site teams in Malaysia.

The role requires hands-on experience with server racks, containment, power distribution, cooling systems, and cable management, plus strong drawing interpretation and documentation skills. You will drive progress, quality, and safety, and ensure on-time handover.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of PM experience in data center construction, white-space fit-out or MEP works.
• Hands-on data center fit-out management including MEP installation and site coordination.
• Ability to read MEP and construction drawings and technical specs.
• Experience with subcontractors, site manpower, schedules, and material deliveries.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with MS Office, MS Project and AutoCAD.

• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, defects, and handover.
• Ensure safety and permit-to-work compliance with regulations.

Job description

Plan and coordinate project schedules, manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities to ensure timely project delivery

Supervise white-space fit-out works, including server rack installation, hot/cold aisle containment, cable trays, ladder racks, raised flooring, and associated infrastructure

Coordinate mechanical and electrical works, including power distribution, busway systems, cooling systems, piping, and related MEP installations

Review construction drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and project documentation

Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal engineering teams on project requirements and site activities

Monitor daily site progress, identify potential delays, and resolve technical or coordination issues

Manage project budgets, cost tracking, variation orders, and subcontractor performance

Ensure installation works are carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements

Coordinate site inspections, testing and commissioning activities, defect rectification, and final project handover

Ensure compliance with site safety requirements, permit-to-work procedures, and applicable Malaysian regulations

About you

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or a related discipline

Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience in data center construction, white-space fit-out, or MEP works

Hands-on experience managing data center fit-out projects, including MEP installation and site coordination

Good understanding of data center infrastructure, including server racks, containment systems, power distribution, cooling systems, and cable management

Experience managing subcontractors, site manpower, project schedules, and material deliveries

Able to read and interpret MEP drawings, construction drawings, and technical specifications

Familiar with project cost control, variation orders, quality inspections, testing and commissioning, and handover procedures

Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD
