Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in purchasing, supply chain or related field.
• 3–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in construction.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost analysis skills.
• Familiarity with procurement procedures, contracts, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in MS Office; ERP experience is a plus.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess a valid driving licence and willingness to travel to supplier or project sites.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain best value in price, quality, and delivery.
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders (POs), and related procurement documents.
• Procure construction materials, equipment, tools, machinery, and services per project requirements and timelines.
• Monitor material deliveries to ensure timely supply and coordinate with project/site teams to avoid delays.
• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers for cost-effective decisions.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and regularly evaluate performance.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Agents, Site Supervisors, and QS team regarding procurement schedules and material requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and minimize excess stock.
• Resolve issues related to delays, shortages, damaged goods, or disputes.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and purchase documentation.
