Job summary

Conspec Builders Malaysia is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to source and secure materials, equipment, and services for construction projects from reputable suppliers. You will negotiate terms, manage delivery schedules, and maintain strong supplier relationships while coordinating with project teams to ensure timely supply.

The role requires 5+ years in purchasing in construction, fluent English and Malay, and strong analytical skills to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly organized, responsible, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). ERP systems experience is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and Malay.
• Possess a valid driving licence and own transport (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services at competitive prices.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms with suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Coordinate material deliveries to project sites and ensure timely supply.
• Monitor inventory levels and plan purchases accordingly.
• Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Work closely with project managers, site teams, logistics, and finance to ensure project execution.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
• Evaluate supplier performance and develop alternative sourcing strategies.
