EI Power Technologies Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of a hyperscale data center project in Johor Bahru. You will lead on-site construction delivery, manage engineering teams, and ensure safety, budget, and schedule adherence while coordinating with international stakeholders from China and cross-border teams.

The role requires strong Mandarin and English communication, and a proven track record in mission-critical environments.

Formación

• 5 years of core construction or project management experience.
• At least 2 years executing data center builds, semiconductor plants, or equivalent mission-critical environments.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication in Mandarin and English.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline.
• Deep understanding of data center infrastructure, redundancy, and commissioning processes.

Responsabilidades

• Direct all daily on-site construction activities, monitor progress, allocate resources, and manage budget from base build to handover.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of M&E systems (high-voltage distribution, generators, UPS, chillers, cooling, BMS/EPMS).
• Act as liaison between local teams, international clients, subs, and suppliers for alignment and conflict resolution.
• Enforce EHS protocols, regulatory compliance, and construction quality across the site.
• Deliver performance metrics, risk assessments, and progress reports to Senior Management.

We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Construction Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of a hyperscale data center project in Johor Bahru. In this role, you will lead on-site construction delivery, manage engineering teams, and ensure strict adherence to safety, budget, and project timelines. This project involves close coordination with international stakeholders, from China and cross-border engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

Direct all daily on-site construction activities, monitoring project progress, resource allocation, and budget adherence from base build through to operational handover

Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of critical M&E systems, including high-voltage power distribution, backup generators, UPS systems, chillers, cooling systems, and BMS/EPMS

Act as the primary liaison between local technical teams, international clients, sub-contractors, and equipment suppliers to ensure seamless technical alignment and conflict resolution

Enforce stringent Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols, regulatory compliance, and construction quality standards across the entire site

Deliver regular performance metrics, risk assessments, and progress reports to the Senior Management

About you

Required 5 years of core construction or project management experience, with at least 2 years specifically executing data center builds, semiconductor plants, or equivalent mission-critical environments

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline

Deep understanding of data center critical infrastructure, redundancy requirements, and commissioning processes

Proven track record of managing large technical teams, resolving complex on-site disputes, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced 24/7 environment
