Job summary

INSPUR COMMUNICATION MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Senior Engineering Lead to head multidisciplinary teams for data center construction in Cyberjaya.

You will establish standards, oversee design development, and ensure compliance with international data center frameworks and local regulations. This role emphasizes leadership, technical excellence, and delivering projects safely on schedule. Fluency in English and Malay is required; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• 8+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years in data center projects.
• 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of data center design, MEP systems, cooling, power, and fire protection.
• Familiarity with Tier III/IV, Uptime Institute, GB50174, TIA-942, and local codes.
• PE or BEM registration required; PMP is an advantage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and engineering design software.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management; English and Malay fluency; Mandarin is a plus.

Job description

Establish technical standards, design guidelines, and best practices while overseeing design development, design reviews, and technical submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications, data center standards, and local regulations.

Oversee testing and commissioning activities; ensure systems meet design intent and operational requirements; support project handover and closeout

Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams on all technical matters; represent the company in technical meetings and negotiations

Build and mentor the engineering team; drive technical excellence and continuous improvement

About you

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field; Master's degree preferred

Minimum 8 years engineering experience, with 5+ years in data center projects and 3+ years in a leadership role

Strong knowledge of data center design and construction, including MEP systems, cooling, power distribution, and fire protection

Familiarity with Tier III/IV, Uptime Institute, GB50174, TIA-942, and local codes

Professional Engineer (PE) or BEM registration required; PMP is an advantage

Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and engineering design software

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
