Job summary

NPAworldwide invites an experienced Senior Project Manager to drive large-scale data centre construction projects in Malaysia. You will lead planning, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover, ensuring safe, on-schedule, on-budget delivery with top quality standards.

You will coordinate with leadership, consultants, contractors, and suppliers, managing risks, budgets, procurement, and contract administration while maintaining strong stakeholder communication throughout the project

Qualifications

• Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of project management experience, preferably in data centre construction or large-scale industrial/MEP projects.
• Experience delivering Tier III/Tier IV data centre projects and managing or supporting 20 MW+ data centre developments is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure, including power distribution, HVAC, cooling systems, telecommunications, and building services.
• Familiarity with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, contract management, and project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
• Excellent project coordination, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of large-scale data centre construction projects from planning to handover.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Identify project risks and collaborate with stakeholders on effective solutions.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Resolve site issues while maintaining quality and safety.
• Assist in budgeting, cost control, procurement, tender evaluations, and contracts administration.
• Review critical data centre infrastructure systems and coordinate engineering activities.
• Ensure compliance with quality, EHS requirements and local regulations.
• Support testing, commissioning, inspections, and client handover activities.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale data centre construction projects in Malaysia. You will work closely with the project leadership team to manage project execution from planning and construction through testing, commissioning, and final handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Project Planning & Execution

• Support the planning and execution of large-scale data centre construction projects.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Identify project risks and work with stakeholders to implement effective solutions.

Construction & Site Management

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Resolve site issues promptly while maintaining construction quality and safety standards.
• Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.

Cost & Procurement Management

• Assist in project budgeting and cost control activities.
• Support procurement, tender evaluations, contract administration, and supplier coordination.
• Ensure project costs remain within the approved budget.

Technical Coordination

• Participate in the review of critical data centre infrastructure systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and telecommunications systems.
• Coordinate engineering activities to ensure successful project delivery.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, environmental, health and safety (EHS) requirements, and local regulatory requirements.
• Promote a safe working environment across project sites.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Support testing, commissioning, inspections, and project acceptance activities.
• Coordinate project documentation and facilitate successful client handover.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
