Job summary

Adecco Staffing Recruitment in Johor Bahru seeks a Data Center Construction Manager – MEP to lead on-the-ground delivery of high-density data center facilities. You will own construction execution across critical systems, driving safety, quality, schedule certainty, and coordination among contractors for commissioning and handover.

The role requires 5–8 years’ experience in data center construction, strong leadership of large teams, and deep MEP knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years’ experience leading data center and/or mission-critical construction delivery.
• Proven leadership managing large multi-trade teams and contractors.
• Strong knowledge of MEP/critical systems construction.
• Deep understanding of QA/QC, ITPs, inspections, NCRs, change control inputs.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication.
• Exposure to reporting tools (MS Office) and collaboration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-based construction delivery for AI/high-density data center infrastructure (power, cooling, white space fit-out).
• Direct multiple contractors and vendors across MEP, CSA, controls/BMS, fire, security, network readiness, and specialist packages.
• Own construction planning and daily execution: site logistics, permits, RAMS, ITPs, inspections, progress verification.
• Drive interface management and sequencing across trades to protect milestones and remove blockers.
• Maintain strict quality discipline: NCR management, punch list closure, turnover.
• Lead safety performance and culture: toolbox talks, audits, incident management.
• Drive commissioning readiness with commissioning/ops teams: test readiness, FAT/SAT coordination, clean turnover.
• Produce clear site reporting: daily/weekly progress, risks, look-ahead plans.
• Support commercial discipline with PM/QS: progress claims validation, variation identification.
