Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Construction Manager (生产副总) to oversee engineering operations, project delivery, safety, procurement, cost control, and cross-functional coordination across multiple sites.

The successful candidate will lead projects to be delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget, aligned with the company’s strategic objectives while maintaining high standards and effective stakeholder management in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years senior-level engineering/project management experience on large-scale projects.
  • Experience in multinational or international company environments.
  • Strong English communication for international work.
  • Familiarity with European EN/Eurocodes or American standards.
  • Proven abilities in project management, operations, cost control, quality, schedule, procurement, and safety.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager (生产副总) to oversee engineering operations, project delivery, safety, procurement, cost control, and cross-functional coordination. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in line with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Project Management
  • Develop strategic plans and annual objectives for assigned functions, including engineering, safety, procurement, and related operational areas.
  • Lead the overall planning, execution, and management of projects in alignment with the company’s business strategy.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure effective project implementation and commercial performance.
  • Monitor project performance and ensure projects contribute to the company’s overall strategic and operational objectives.
2. Quality, Cost & Schedule Control
  • Establish and continuously improve systems for project quality, cost, and schedule management.
  • Monitor project execution to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Identify project risks, delays, cost overruns, and quality issues, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Drive projects through successful completion, handover, and final acceptance.
3. Site Operations & Emergency Management
  • Oversee overall project site operations and resolve major or complex issues arising during project execution.
  • Develop operational plans, risk management measures, and emergency response procedures.
  • Improve project execution and operational efficiency while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • Protect and enhance the company’s professional reputation through effective project and stakeholder management.
4. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Take full responsibility for the management and development of assigned departments and teams.
  • Lead talent development, performance management, and capability building.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal departments, clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other external stakeholders.
  • Support senior management in major business initiatives and other strategic assignments.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by senior management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications such as Senior Engineer, Chartered Engineer, Registered Professional Engineer, or equivalent construction/project management certification will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of senior-level engineering/project management experience, with strong exposure to large-scale or complex projects.
  • Prior experience working in a multinational or international company environment is preferred.
  • Good command of English, with the ability to communicate effectively in an international working environment.
  • Familiarity with European (EN/Eurocodes) and/or American engineering standards and regulations.
  • Strong practical experience in project management, operations management, cost control, quality management, schedule management, procurement, and safety management.
  • Strong strategic thinking, commercial awareness, decision-making, and overall project coordination capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility for safety, quality, cost, and project delivery.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong professionalism, ownership, and alignment with the company’s values and culture.
