Jora Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager to plan, lead, and deliver construction projects from start to finish in Malaysia. You will coordinate site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers while ensuring compliance with regulations, budgets, and quality standards.
The role requires 5–8+ years in construction with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, plus familiarity with ISO standards and local regulations.

Plan, organize, and manage construction projects from commencement to completion, ensuring compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and company standards.
Develop, review, and implement project plans, objectives, schedules, procedures, and resource requirements to achieve project targets.
Lead and coordinate site teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and timelines, and implement corrective actions where necessary to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documents, identify discrepancies, and coordinate with consultants and clients to resolve technical issues.
Verify and evaluate project progress claims submitted by consultants, and subcontractors prior to headquarters' review and approval.
Manage the procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and resources required for project execution.
Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory requirements, building regulations, authority approvals, permits, and industry standards.
Review and investigate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), implement corrective and preventive actions, and ensure timely closure of identified issues.
Provide technical advice and recommendations during project meetings and support decision‑making processes.
Ensure effective implementation and compliance with the Company's Integrated Management System (IMS), including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
Monitor project quality, environmental, health, and safety performance, ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, legal requirements, and continual improvement initiatives.
Support internal and external audits and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions arising from audit findings.
Undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Building, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' relevant experience for Assistant Project Manager or 8 years' relevant experience for Project Manager in the construction industry.
Proven experience in managing building, infrastructure, or property development projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project management practices, contract administration, and site operations.
Familiarity with Malaysian building regulations, local authority requirements, occupational health and safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 management systems will be an added advantage.
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
