Job summary

Perunding Quants Utara is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to lead cost control on major infrastructure and building projects in Penang. You will prepare bills of quantities, cost estimates, tender documents, and support decision-making with robust cost analysis.

Joining a consultancy environment, you will certify payments, monitor expenditures, prepare interim valuations, and liaise with project teams to ensure accurate cost information and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• A Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Experience in consultancy environments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management principles.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and manage bill of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documents
• Conducting cost analysis and feasibility studies to support planning
• Evaluate and certify contractor payments and variations
• Monitor project expenditure and compare actual costs to budgets
• Prepare interim valuations, progress claims and final accounts
• Liaising with project managers, architects, engineers and contractors
