Job summary

M&R Integrated Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a regulatory and EHS compliance professional to manage and monitor the company’s factory compliance with government requirements in Penang. You will liaise with authorities, maintain licences and ensure timely submissions, while coordinating waste management, safety, and 5S/6S activities.

The role requires 1–3 years of relevant experience, a degree in a related field, and knowledge of local regulatory bodies. Proficiency in MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Environmental Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Science, or related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years in factory compliance, EHS, regulatory compliance or manufacturing.
• Familiar with DOE/JAS, DOSH/JKKP, BOMBA, MIDA/MITI and local authorities requirements.
• Experience in scheduled waste and chemical management, including eSWIS, is an advantage.
• Knowledge of workplace safety, environmental requirements and factory compliance.
• Experience dealing with government agencies, inspections, audits, licences and permits.
• CePSWaM, SHO/OSH or other government-relevant certifications are advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor factory regulatory and government compliance requirements.
• Liaise with government authorities and agencies.
• Manage licences, permits, registrations, certificates and compliance documents.
• Monitor scheduled waste and chemical management and eSWIS records.
• Coordinate workplace safety and health compliance and risk assessments.
• Coordinate fire safety inspections, certificates and emergency preparedness.
• Conduct regular factory compliance inspections and identify improvements.
• Maintain records for inspections, audits and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor deadlines, renewals and submissions to ensure timely compliance.
• Coordinate with external consultants and contractors on compliance matters.
• Follow up on findings until corrective actions are completed.
• Coordinate and monitor 5S/6S activities and factory housekeeping.
• Keep management informed on regulatory requirements and issues.
• Assist in preparing compliance policies, procedures and reports.
• Perform other compliance and administrative duties as assigned.

Job description

Manage and monitor the company’s overall factory regulatory and government compliance requirements.

Liaise with relevant government authorities and agencies, including DOE/JAS, DOSH/JKKP, BOMBA, MIDA/MITI and local authorities.

Manage and maintain required licences, permits, registrations, certificates and compliance documents.

Monitor scheduled waste and chemical management, including eSWIS records, storage, labelling and disposal arrangements.

Coordinate workplace safety and health compliance, inspections, risk assessments and corrective actions.

Coordinate fire safety requirements, inspections, certificates and emergency preparedness.

Conduct regular factory compliance inspections and identify areas requiring improvement.

Maintain proper records and documentation for government inspections, audits and regulatory requirements.

Monitor regulatory deadlines, renewals and submissions to ensure requirements are completed on time.

Coordinate with external consultants, contractors and relevant parties on compliance-related matters.

Follow up on findings from government inspections, audits and internal assessments until corrective actions are completed.

Coordinate and monitor 5S/6S activities and factory housekeeping standards.

Keep management updated on regulatory requirements, compliance status and potential issues.

Assist in preparing policies, procedures, reports and documentation related to factory compliance.

Perform other compliance and administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Science, or a related field.

Knowledge of workplace safety, environmental requirements and factory compliance is preferred.

Experience dealing with government agencies, inspections, audits, licences and permits is an advantage.

CePSWaM, SHO/OSH or other relevant certifications recognized by government authorities will be an added advantage.

Good documentation, record-keeping and follow-up skills.

Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to liaise with government authorities and external parties.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Able to work independently, conduct factory inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
