Job summary

MAPA Gloves Sdn Bhd in Ipoh invites a capable Government Regulatory Compliance and Plant Administration Officer to safeguard licenses, permits and regulatory approvals for the manufacturing plant.

You will manage licenses with MITI, RMCD and LMW, coordinate inspections, ensure customs compliance, oversee outsourced security, cleaning and canteen services, and maintain vehicle and asset records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, supply chain, logistics, engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Experience dealing with MITI, Customs and LMW matters is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all manufacturing-related licenses, permits and regulatory approvals.
• Ensure timely renewal and compliance with MITI, RMCD, LMW and other relevant government agencies.
• Maintain a master database and renewal calendar for licenses and permits.
• Monitor changes in government regulations and assess their impact on plant operations.
• Coordinate inspections, audits and visits by government authorities.
• Serve as the main coordinator for all Customs-related matters and ensure LMW compliance.
• Lead the coordination and implementation of the AEO system (Authorized Economic Operator).
• Manage outsourced security, cleaning, and canteen services and ensure service levels.
• Maintain an updated vehicle register with road tax, insurance, permits and users.

Job description

Government Regulatory Compliance and Plant Administration Officer

To ensure all statutory licenses, permits and regulatory approvals for the manufacturing plant are valid and renewed on time, including MITI, LMW and other relevant authorities. The position is also responsible for customs compliance and the effective management of outsourced security, cleaning, canteen, company cars and general plant support services.

Key responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all manufacturing-related licenses, permits and regulatory approvals

Ensure timely renewal and compliance with requirements from MITI, Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD), Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) and other relevant government agencies

Maintain a master database and renewal calendar for all licenses and permits

Monitor changes in government regulations and assess their impact on plant operations

Coordinate inspections, audits and visits by government authorities

Serve as the main coordinator for all Customs-related matters and ensure compliance with LMW requirements

Led the coordination and implementation of the AEO system ( Authorized Economic Operator)

Manage and monitor the outsourced security guard service provider and ensure adequate security manpower deployment

Manage the outsourced cleaning service provider and ensure cleanliness and housekeeping standards are maintained

Manage and monitor the outsourced canteen operator and ensure food quality, hygiene and food safety standards are maintained

Maintain an updated vehicle register covering vehicle details, road tax, insurance, permits and assigned users

About you

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or related discipline

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing

Experience dealing with MITI, Customs and LMW matters is highly preferred

Experience managing outsourced security cleaning and canteen services is an advantage
