Job summary

Proton seeks an experienced Assistant Manager, Compensation & Benefits based in Selangor to administer and optimize total rewards programs for a modern automotive group. You will collaborate with HR and finance, analyze compensation data, support annual salary reviews and bonus cycles, ensure policy compliance, and drive improvements to attract and retain top talent in Malaysia.

You will also manage vendor relationships, design benefits offerings, and develop dashboards to monitor ROI of rewards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration, or a related field.
• 7 to 10 years of total work experience, with 4 to 6 years specifically focused on compensation, benefits, and rewards management.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems, compensation tools, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint).
• Deep understanding of local labor laws and modern compensation practices.
• Proven project and team management skills with leadership experience.
• Strong analytical abilities and exceptional communication for stakeholder collaboration.
• Knowledge of compensation and benefits practices in Malaysia.
• Proficiency in HR systems and office software, especially spreadsheets and presentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Administer and review compensation and benefits programs.
• Analyze compensation data and support annual salary reviews and bonus cycles.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management.
• Maintain HR records and policies related to rewards.
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Develop and manage rewards process improvements and system enhancements.
• Design and oversee benefits programs including health, retirement, and insurer contracts.
