Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Subang Jaya is seeking an entry-level Kitchen Support team member to assist in food preparation, mise-en-place, and packaging while following recipes and standards.

Applicants should be physically fit, able to stand long hours in a fast-paced kitchen, and committed to cleanliness and hygiene. No prior F&B experience required, but helpful; training provided.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow standard recipes.
• Willingness to learn and support different kitchen sections.
• Physically fit to stand long hours in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation Support – Assist in ingredient preparation, mise-en-place, cooking, plating, and packaging while following recipes and portion standards.
• Cleaning & Hygiene Maintenance – Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations are clean, sanitized, and compliant with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Equipment Handling & Safety – Safely operate kitchen tools and machinery, report hazards or malfunctions, and maintain cleaning and sanitation supplies.
• Operational Assistance – Support kitchen setup, closing duties, inventory organization, and smooth service flow across all sections.
• Team Collaboration & Professionalism – Work closely with chefs and colleagues, maintaining a positive, professional, and cooperative attitude in all kitchen operations.
