Job summary

Verona Bake (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a kitchen helper to master basic cooking methods and prepare ingredients for daily menus at KLIA2. You will ensure proper storage, uphold food safety standards, and assist with cleaning, upkeep of equipment, and adherence to SOPs.

You will work under Head Chef and Chef De Partie, collaborating closely with the team. The role requires SPM or equivalent, at least 1 year of related experience, and is open to those who communicate in Malay/English or

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least SPM or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of working experience in a related field.
• Mandarin speaker is an advantage.
• Able to communicate in Malay and English, or Mandarin.
• In depth knowledge of food preparation.
• Able to follow directions from the Head Chef.

Responsibilities

• Master all basic cooking methods like cutting of ingredients.
• Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to menu/SOP for the station daily.
• Responsible for proper storage of food preparation and storage area.
• Improve food preparation methods based on feedback.
• Perform cleaning duties of kitchen area, crockery and equipment.
• Maintain food safety standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and observe safety precautions.
• Undertake any duties assigned by Head Chef & Chef De Partie.
• Work as part of a team.
