Job summary

Oriental Coffee International Sdn Bhd (Retail) is seeking a kitchen role for handling basic cooking methods and daily prep in a fast-paced F&B environment in Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities include ingredient preparation, proper storage, cleanliness, and strict adherence to food safety standards. The candidate should be able to work weekends, follow Head Chef instructions, and contribute to a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least SPM/Diploma in related field.
• At least 1 year experience in same role in F&B industry.
• Good team player able to work independently.
• Able to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Master all basic cooking methods like cutting of ingredients.
• Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to menu/SOP needed for the station daily.
• Responsible for proper storage of food preparation and storage area.
• Improving your food preparation methods based on feedback.
• To perform overall cleaning duty of the kitchen area, all crockery and equipment.
• To always maintain food safety standard.
• Be familiar with the use of all electrical and mechanical equipment in the kitchen and observe safety precautions when handling them.
• To undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Head Chef & Chef De Partie.
