Job summary

VERONA BAKE (M) SDN BHD is seeking a kitchen staff to master basic cooking methods, prepare fresh ingredients for daily menus, maintain storage areas, and uphold food safety standards.

You will work as part of a team under the Head Chef, handle all kitchen equipment safely, and perform cleaning duties. Flexibility for OT, weekends, and holidays is required; Mandarin is an advantage, and communication in Malay or English is expected.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least SPM or equivalent.
• In depth knowledge of food preparation.
• Able to communicate in Malay and English, or Mandarin.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including OT, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Master all basic cooking methods like cutting of ingredients.
• Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to menu/sop needed for the station daily.
• Responsible for proper storage of food preparation and storage area.
• Improving your food preparation methods based on feedback.
• To perform overall cleaning duty of the kitchen area, all crockery and equipment.
• To always maintain food safety standard.
• Be familiar with the use of all electrical and mechanical equipment in the kitchen and observe safety precautions when handling them.
• To undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Head Chef & Chef De Partie.
• Ability to work in a team.
