Job summary

YTL Cement Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a commercially minded professional to drive Geo Alam's growth by developing opportunities across waste-derived products, alternative materials and environmental solutions.

You will source suppliers and customers, negotiate terms, manage contracts, and monitor performance to achieve sustainable volumes and profitability, while ensuring compliance and building key accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science/engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant commercial, business development or commercial experience.
• Experience in industrial products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities, markets, products and commercial partnerships.
• Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve revenue, volume and margin objectives.
• Negotiate commercial terms, specifications and delivery arrangements with sources and customers.
• Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, customer requirements and pricing trends to identify new commercial opportunities.
• Prepare forecasts, budgets and business plans for assigned products and markets.
• Monitor performance against targets and provide regular management reports.
• Work closely with Finance and Operations to monitor customer credit, outstanding payments, profitability and overall account performance.
• Conduct market research to identify potential customers, suppliers, industries, applications and new commercial opportunities.
• Track market prices for conventional fuels and alternative fuels to support pricing decisions.
• Identify regulatory and industry developments that may create new business opportunities or affect existing markets.
• Provide market feedback to management to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
• Develop and maintain a database of potential customers, suppliers, partners and market opportunities.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Environmental Management, Chemistry, or a related discipline
