Job summary

LIMPAHAN ENGINEERING SDN BHD is seeking a skilled Programmer for CNC to join the manufacturing team in Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan. This full-time on-site role focuses on programming, setting up, and optimising CNC machines to deliver precision components.

You will work with production and engineering staff to meet targets, ensure quality, and drive continuous improvement, with responsibilities across tooling, calibration, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in CNC programming or related field
• Experience programming CNC milling, lathe, and multi-axis machines
• Proficiency in G-code and M-code
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Knowledge of ISO standards in manufacturing
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Program CNC machines to produce components per technical specifications and drawings
• Set up and calibrate CNC machines including tooling, workholding, and parameters
• Test programme runs and verify output against specifications; adjust as needed
• Troubleshoot programming errors and machine malfunctions to minimise downtime
• Monitor machine operation and perform routine maintenance for reliability
• Maintain records of programmes, settings, and production data
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimise processes
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Train and support operators on CNC programming and operation

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Programmer for CNC to join the manufacturing team at LIMPAHAN ENGINEERING SDN BHD. This is a full-time position based in Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and optimising Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines to produce precision components. This position is critical to our manufacturing operations, ensuring that we meet production targets, maintain quality standards, and continuously improve our manufacturing efficiency. You will work on-site at our facility, collaborating closely with production teams and engineering staff to deliver exceptional results.

Key responsibilities

Programme CNC machines using appropriate software and coding languages to produce components according to technical specifications and drawings

Set up and calibrate CNC machines, including tool selection, workholding fixtures, and machine parameters to ensure optimal performance

Test programme runs and verify output against specifications, making adjustments as necessary to achieve required tolerances and quality standards

Troubleshoot programming errors and machine malfunctions, implementing corrective actions to minimise downtime and maintain production schedules

Monitor machine operations during production runs and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment in working order

Maintain detailed records of programmes, machine settings, and production data for quality assurance and continuous improvement purposes

Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and production supervisors to optimise processes and implement design changes

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all manufacturing operations

Train and support other operators on CNC machine programming and operation as required

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in CNC programming, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Proven experience programming CNC machines, including milling machines, lathes, and multi-axis equipment

Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code

Experience with CNC software and CAD/CAM systems commonly used in manufacturing

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machining principles, and precision measurement techniques

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure high-quality component production

Good communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with production teams and engineers

Knowledge of quality control procedures and ISO standards in manufacturing

Physical ability to work in a manufacturing environment and stand for extended periods

Preferred: experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, or precision engineering
